Dr. Kirk Vannitamby is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), with a special focus on hip and knee joint replacement, fracture care, and helping people return to the activities they love. Known for his kind bedside manner and thorough, evidence-based approach, Dr. Vannitamby is passionate about building trust with his patients and guiding them through every step of their surgical journey.
Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Dr. Vannitamby completed his undergraduate studies in Honours Sciences at the University of Waterloo, where he was awarded the University of Waterloo Merit Scholarship for academic excellence. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Trinity School of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry in London, Ontario. During residency, he also completed a Master of Science in Surgery (MSc), with his thesis and ongoing research focusing on anterior Monteggia fractures.
Dr. Vannitamby has presented his work at major international conferences, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is particularly passionate about advancing surgical techniques that improve patient recovery, including the direct anterior approach to hip arthroplasty, which is associated with reduced post-operative pain and faster return to daily activity.
In addition to his clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Vannitamby held several leadership roles throughout his residency. He served as the Resident Representative to the Surgical Education Committee, where he helped shape training standards for future surgeons. He was also the Resident Peer Support Lead for Orthopedic Surgery and a General Council Representative for the Professional Association of Residents of Ontario (PARO), advocating for resident wellness and education across the province.
Today, Dr. Vannitamby is planning to relocate to Stratford with his wife and clinic partner, Neneh, and their two young daughters. They also share their home with their 14-year-old Shih Tzu, Maxi. As a family, they are proud to be building roots in the Stratford community and are grateful for the warm welcome they’ve received. They are excited to serve the Stratford and Huron Perth communities and build lasting connections with the patients they care for.
At the heart of Dr. Vannitamby’s practice is a deep respect for his patients’ time, goals, and quality of life. Whether you're seeing him for joint pain, a fracture, or planning a joint replacement surgery, you’ll be met with care, clarity, and a collaborative treatment plan designed just for you.

She’s also the proud wife of Dr. Kirk Vannitamby - her med school sweetheart - and together they’re raising two little girls (both under two!) and their sweet 14-year-old Shih Tzu, Maxi. Whether she's supporting patients behind the scenes, streamlining clinic logistics, or welcoming you at the front desk, Neneh’s heart is in building a warm, efficient, and patient-first environment for the Stratford community.
